I’m originally from Northern Ireland from a place called Holywood. I grew up in a hearing family, I then moved top a place called Boston Spa which is fairly close to Leeds and I went to a boarding school there for 6 years.
I studied an HND in fashion and I also went on to do a degree in fine art and printing at Wolverhampton University, I then moved to London and I’ve been here for ten years, doing various jobs but mainly teaching children, adults and young adults but now I have a new role as an office manager and I work with two sister companies CommunityID and CommunicationID.
My roles as an office manager are varied but there are 5 main areas. I assist the Directors, we recruit volunteers, we train them and mentor them.
I respond to phone calls and receive visitors, if there are any office issues – to ensure we have all our stationary and equipment etc – if not I order them. Health and safety within the office, everybody being first aid trained etc and ensuring that people are comfortable within their environment.
